Since Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge married to Prince William she has become a fashion icon. Even tough she is a big supporter of British high street and she is not afraid of wearing the same outfit twice unlike other celebrities .
Still it is assumed that she has spent more than $54,000 on clothes so fa this year.
Catherine has nevertheless worn pieces by some of the UK’s biggest designer names in the past year.
The Duchess’s key red carpet looks since the royal wedding have included dresses by Matthew Williamson, Roland Mouret, Burberry, Issa, Jenny Packham, Emilia Wickstead, Erdem and Alexander McQueen – alongside more affordable high-street pieces by her favourite labels; Zara, Hobbs, Whistles, LK Bennett and Reiss.
– and the total spend will be revealed when her father-in-law, Prince Charles, unveils his financial accounts in the next few days.
The Prince of Wales pays for outfits required by the Duchess for any “work-related” engagements as part of his household budget – which is funded by his Duchy of Cornwall estate rather than by the taxpayer – and the estimated spend is said to be high.
