2014 is set to become the year when the red carpet got its silly on, thanks to the shenanigans of two Hollywood hot listers.
With two award shows so far, the comedy duo of Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Thompson have single-handedly managed to lower the tone.
And we applaud them for it.
Hot on the heels of her Golden Globes’ triumphant upstaging of Taylor Swift, JLaw has now introduced us to the horror of armpit vaginas.
Proving again that she is the woman without a filter, JLaw casually dropped the term – describing the fat that gathers under the arm when wearing a tight dress – during an interview with E channel’s Giuliana Rancic at the SAG awards.
She also told CNN that her dress was “squeezing her breasts into her armpits”.
Not to be outdone, terribly-serious-don’t-you-know British actor Thompson first shocked with her bouncing around and martini swilling at the Globes, then last night ditched the heels for flats on the SAG red carpet.
Whether it’s a winning choice or fashion fail, Thompson didn’t care.
“They’re flat and they’re so beautiful and I’m so happy,” she said of her Louboutin flats.
She told E Online that she was having “a lot of fun” this awards season and would “try” to behave.
She then went on to do the photobomb of all photobombs on Lupita Nyong’o. Well played.
Cannot wait for the Oscars. Cannot.
