Paul Walker was travelling more than 100mph (160kmh) before he and a friend were killed in a November car accident.
The Fast & Furious star was a passenger in the Porsche Carrera GT driven by Roger Rodas when the vehicle veered off the road, slammed into a pole and exploded in flames in Santa Clarita, California on November 30.
New details released on Friday (local time) by the Los Angeles County Coroner confirmed speed was a factor in the crash.
It also provided further details regarding the state of the bodies of Walker, 40, and Rodas, 38.
According to the report, Walker “cannot be positively identified visually”, while Rodas had to be identified using dental records.
The report does not indicate any mechanical defect, despite Rodas’ friends indicating he was a skilled racecar driver and a malfunction could be to blame.
It also described how the Porsche struck a tree before hitting a light post, spun 180 degrees and hit a second tree before exploding, according to People.
“For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of his vehicle and the vehicle partially spun around,” it reads.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office previously issued a report in December attributing Walker’s cause of death to trauma and burn injuries.
Walker played one of the lead characters, Brian O’Conner, in the Fast & Furious franchise and was working on the seventh instalment prior to the accident.
His co-star, Vin Diesel, paid tribute to the star via Facebook last month, revealing Walker would still appear in Fast & Furious 7, now scheduled for release on April 10, 2015.
“He’d want you to know first,” Diesel wrote.
