Members of Congress and Citizens alike are angry… angry because US Veteran, Lawrence Davis Jr. was buried in a cardboard box.
When Davis’ remains were shipped back to the US, no loved ones came to collect them and arrange for final resting services. Florida National Cemetery buried the US Veteran without a casket.
Florida’s senators are supporting “The Dignified Burial of Veterans Act of 2012,” which will, amongst other things, allow provisions for all veterans to be buried with dignity in a casket.
