Just as the Twilight series is about to end, Stephenie Meyer has another movie about supernatural creatures helping teenage girls find love.
The film is based on a best selling novel by Stephenie Meyer, who is famous for her Twilight series. The Twilight books were made into five films starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
The upcoming film, The Host, is set in a futuristic and ruined Earth after an alien invasion. The aliens have seized control of the human population’s brains. Irish actress Saoirse Ronan plays both the female protagonist, Melanie Stryder, and the alien, Wanderer, that inhabits her body.
Stryder initially resists Wanderer’s efforts to seize control of her mind, but things change when Stryder’s old crush enters the picture. The alien decides to help its host get back together with one of her past crushes. Max Irons plays Ronan’s boyfriend, Jared, a rebel human, and a supernatural love triangle develops.
