One of Asgard’s mightiest warriors came down to earth for a special visit to a Los Angeles Children’s Hospital.
Jaimie Alexander plays Lady Sif in Marvel’s Thor movies, and recently visited the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, in character, complete with sword and armour.
The 29-year-star spent an afternoon with dozens of kids at the hospital, handing ou signed posters and DVDs and bringing a little magic into the patients’ lives, according to Marvel.com.
Alexander herself suffered a serious injury on the set of Thor: The Dark World, which forced her to pull out of filming for a month.
“It was raining, it was dark outside, it was like 5 in the morning – and I went down a metal staircase and slipped and slipped a disc in my thoracic spine and chipped 11 of my vertebrae… I knocked my left shoulder out of place and tore my rhomboid on my right side,” she told the New York Post.
Thor: The Dark World has grossed over US$500 million worldwide, continuing the blockbusting, record-breaking performance of Marvel and Walt Disney’s superhero film series.
