Would You Swim in This Glass-Bottomed Hotel Pool ?

Luxury comes with a price and in this case…Danger. The Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong Kanqiao’s indoor swimming pool comes complete with its own exterior extension, which  is designed by a Singaporean architectural firm, happens to be suspended 24 floors above the ground.

“We wanted to provide our guests a unique swimming experience, and let them feel they’re vacationing even in a bustling city,” a spokesperson for Holiday Inn’s parent company, InterContinental Hotels Group, told CNNGo.

A Holiday Inn Shanghai rep told the news network various architects and aerospace experts were consulted during the construction of the pool to ensure public safety.
