The Beatles: The US Albums will be released by iTunes on Friday.
The 13 albums are being released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first United States visit and their debut on The Ed Sullivan Show.
John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr took their first steps on American soil on February 7, 1964, when they landed at New York’s John F Kennedy Airport.
Their appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show was then one of the world’s top-viewed television events as they performed five songs on the live broadcast.
The albums were originally released in the US between January 10, 1964, and February 26, 1970.
They are: Meet The Beatles, The Beatles’ Second Album, A Hard Day’s Night (original motion picture soundtrack), Something New, The Beatles’ Story, Beatles ’65, The Early Beatles, Beatles VI, Help! (original motion picture soundtrack), Rubber Soul, Yesterday And Today, Revolver, and Hey Jude.
The US releases were different from the British albums, with different track lists, song mixes, album titles and artwork.
