The Amazing Spider-Man… Same story… different actors

Andrew Garfield as The Amazing Spider-Man

It has only been 10 years since the first Spider-man movie hit the big screens. Lets remember the story Peter Parker a typical teenager that we all can relate to got bit by a radioactive spider and when he wakes up the next day he realize that he has super powers.

After 10 years Sony Entertainment relaunch its most profitable franchise under the name of  “The Amazing Spider-Man”, the fourth movie of the series is actually the same as the first movie, only with different actors and different villains.

What happens in the new movie is Peter Parker a typical teenager that we all can relate to got bit by a radioactive spider and when he wakes up the next day he realize that he has super powers.

Sounds familiar?

The difference is instead of Tobey Maguire, it is Andrew Garfield that jumps and swings around in a blue and red tights, and Emma Stone is replacing Kirsten Dunst as the spidey’s new love affair.

it looks like there is not much that we haven’t seen before

Director Marc Webb, hired on the strength of his indie romcom 500 Days Of Summer, does a competent job, helped by his two talented leading actors, but doesn’t bring anything fresh to the party.

The writers don’t make Parker’s abandonment issues interesting or original, and the screenplay could have done with more humour as it was in the third movie.

Former comedian Denis Leary meets the crowd as the police chief who’s the leading lady’s (Emma Stone) dad; but he has to work hard to be entertaining as much as  J. K. Simmons’s irascible newspaper editor was in the original.

The Cast and Crew of The Amazing Spider-Man

The movie, now shooting, co-stars Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as her father, Rhys Ifans as the Lizard, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, Sally Field as Aunt May and Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson.

We heard that 3-D version is effective in flying scned but sure it may give you a headache especially in the fighting scenes
