City officials in Tehran have agreed to investigate claims that bodies of protesters killed in the unrest that followed Iran’s disputed presidential election were secretly buried in the nation’s largest cemetery, Iranian media reported Sunday.

Ex-Iranian president seeks to free detainees
Iranians worried about their loved ones detained in the protests that followed the presidential election got the ear of a former president, who wants the detainees released, an Iranian reformist party newspaper reported on Thursday. Former reformist President Mohammad Khatami met with families of some of the people detained and said that if the courts uphold the civil rights of the detainees, the court would order them freed, reported presidential candidate Mehdi Karrubi’s party newspaper. Spouses of detainees told Khatami they wanted their spouses released and that they worried about their physical and mental health, the paper reported.
CNN responds to Iranian hacking accusation
In a news conference Monday in Tehran, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi made some accusations about western media outlets. Qashqavi accused “everyone working” at the BBC, the Voice of America and CNN of pursuing the “weakening of Iran’s unity” and seeking the “disintegration” of the country all because, he said, of ties to Israel and Zionism. In addition, Qashqavi specifically claimed that CNN “officially” trains people to “hack government and foreign ministry” Web sites
