Man sought in killing possibly linked to Craigslist

Police in Boston, Massachusetts, are searching for a man suspected in the murder of one woman and the armed robbery of two others, all of whom, they say, he may have met through their Craigslist ads for personal services. Officers discovered New York resident Julissa Brisman, 26, unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds at Boston’s Copley Marriott Hotel on Tuesday night.

Four jailed in landmark Web piracy case

Four men behind a Swedish file-sharing Web site used by millions to exchange movies and music have been jailed for a year for collaborating to violate copyright law in a landmark court verdict in Stockholm. The four defendants — Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, Peter Sunde Kolmisoppi and Carl Lundstrom, three founders and one patron of The Pirate Bay — were also ordered to pay 30 million kronor ($3.6 million) in damages to several major media companies including Warner Brothers, Columbia, Twentieth Century Fox, Sony BMG and EMI. The Pirate Bay allows users to exchange files including movies, music, games and software, but does not host the files itself.

Fans pay homage to Hillsborough victims

Thousands of Liverpool fans marked the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster in a special memorial service at Anfield on Wednesday. Ninety six supporters died on April 15, 1989 before an FA Cup semifinal between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest at Sheffield Wednesday’s stadium, one of the worst tragedies in sporting history. Suspect in girl’s killing had ‘challenges,’ relatives say

Nothing about Melissa Huckaby, a Sunday school teacher at her grandfather’s California church, would indicate she’s capable of killing her daughter’s 8-year-old friend as police allege, relatives say.
