Israeli troops are accused in a newspaper article of harvesting organs from dead Palestinians, and Israel wants Sweden’s government to condemn the Swedish paper that published it. Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman compared the Swedish Foreign Ministry’s hands-off position to the country’s neutrality during World War II. “It’s a shame that the Swedish Foreign Ministry fails to intervene in a case of blood libels against Jews,” Lieberman told Sweden’s ambassador to Israel on Thursday evening

Can Ethical Foie Gras Happen in America?
Crouching in a verdant pasture in the early summer sun, Eduardo Sousa plucks a few blades of grass and extends them toward a flock of geese. “Hello, my darlings,” he coos. “Hello, hello, hello.” It is the Spanish farmer’s first visit to the Stone Barns Center, a farm and education center dedicated to sustainable agriculture in Pocantico Hills, some 30 miles north of New York City, and Sousa is impressed with what he sees

In the month since Zelaya’s ouster, members of Micheletti’s government have repeatedly stated that Zelaya’s return is an unacceptable condition

Robert Duvall: Francis Ford Coppola made my career
He immortalized the "smell of napalm in the morning" in "Apocalypse Now," but Robert Duvall’s first meeting with director Francis Ford Coppola was no indication of the fruitful relationship to come. It was 1969 and Coppola had parted ways with a lead character in indie film “The Rain People.” He was stuck and 38-year-old Duvall was drafted in at the last minute on the suggestion of a friend.
