Chinese-made drywall ruining homes, owners say
Officials are looking into claims that Chinese-made drywall installed in some Florida homes is emitting smelly, corrosive gases and ruining household systems such as air conditioners, the Consumer Product Safety Commission says. The Florida Health Department, which is investigating whether the drywall poses any health risks, said it has received more than 140 homeowner complaints

Josef Fritzl, who had been accused of keeping his daughter in a cellar for decades and fathering her seven children, changed his plea to guilty to all the charges made against him Wednesday in an Austrian court. Fritzl had already pleaded guilty to incest and other charges, but previously denied charges of murder and enslavement.

A lawsuit filed by the family of a woman who was violently attacked by a chimpanzee is seeking $50 million in damages from the owner of the primate, attorneys said Tuesday. Geithner: AIG must pay back bonus money
Insurance giant AIG will have to return to the Treasury Department the $165 million it just paid out in executive bonuses, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said Tuesday in a letter to congressional leaders. “We will impose on AIG a contractual commitment to pay the treasury from the operations of the company the amount of the retention awards just paid,” Geithner wrote
