Yemeni plane crashes with 154 aboard

A Yemeni jetliner with more than 150 people aboard has crashed in the Indian Ocean off the island nation of Comoros, aviation officials in Yemen said Tuesday. Flight 1549 passenger wants therapy compensation

Tess Sosa and her daughter have had a hard time forgetting US Airways Flight 1549’s emergency landing in New York City’s Hudson River in January. Sosa and Sophia, 4, have needed therapy, and the Sosas have had to pay out of their own pockets because US Airways’ insurer says only three counseling sessions are covered. The family has private insurance and large deductible.

Several injured in Qantas incident

Seven people were injured aboard a Qantas flight from Hong Kong, China, to Perth, Australia, after the jetliner hit turbulence over Borneo in Malaysia overnight, the airline said on Monday. Six passengers and a crew member sustained minor injuries and were treated onboard, the airline said in a statement on its Web site. Qantas said the aircraft was an Airbus A330-300, adding that the Australian Transport Safety Bureau will investigate and that there was no reason to link the incident to other incidents involving A330 aircraft

Air France plane wreckage unlikely to be recovered
