Anger boils in Mexico over 46 deaths at day care center
Anger is growing in Mexico over a fire at a government-run day care center that claimed its 46th child this weekend. Parents of the dead children and their supporters have held two noisy rallies in Hermosillo, the city in northwestern Mexico where the fire broke out June 5. Two men convicted of torturing, killing French students
Two British men were convicted Thursday of torturing and killing two French students in London last June, London’s Metropolitan Police said. Nigel Farmer, 34, and Daniel “Dano” Sonnex, 23, were also found guilty of arson, false imprisonment and burglary. California fire possibly started by power tool
The wildfire that scorched thousands of acres and destroyed dozens of homes in Southern California this week apparently was started by a power tool clearing brush in the area, fire officials said Sunday. The fire started near a trail in the Santa Barbara, California, area and appears to have been “related to the use of power tool equipment involved in vegetation clearance,” according to the multi-agency group fighting the fires
