Climate protesters ‘swoop’ on London

Climate change activists were converging on the center of London on Wednesday for a week-long protest intended to highlight the dangers of economic growth on the environment. The Camp for Climate Action said it expected about 1,000 people to descend on the location, which was kept a secret until the last moment. Top Iraqi Shiite leader dies

One of Iraq’s top Shiite leaders died Wednesday, a senior official with his office told CNN. Abdul Aziz al-Hakim died in Tehran, Iran, and his body will be sent to Iraq to be buried in Najaf, said Haitham al-Husseini, a senior official with al-Hakim’s office and one of al-Hakim’s advisers. Al-Hakim had been receiving lung cancer treatment in neighboring Iran for more than two years

Outed model blogger plans to sue Google

Her identity revealed, a blogger who posted rants about model Liskula Cohen said she was the real victim in the case and plans to sue Google for violating her privacy. Rosemary Port and her lawyer said Monday that they will file a $15 million lawsuit against the search engine giant for not doing enough to protect her identity. “I not only feel my client was wronged, but I feel now it sets precedent that anyone with money and power can get the identity of anyone that decides to be an anonymous blogger,” said Salvator Strazzullo, Port’s lawyer.
