Jackson estate says it recovered $5.5 million from ex-advisers

The administrators of Michael Jackson’s estate have filed court papers disclosing they’ve recovered $5.5 million in cash from one of Jackson’s "former financial advisers." They expect to present contracts to the court “within the week” that should add “tens of millions of dollars” to Jackson’s estate, which they said is solvent and worth an estimated $500 million, the documents said.

FBI: Top 10 fugitive captured in Mexico

An alleged gang member who was on the FBI’s Top 10 List of most wanted fugitives and sought in connection with a 2000 attack on two Los Angeles, California, officers was captured in Mexico, authorities said Monday. Emigdio Preciado Jr., who is believed to be 39, was captured Friday in the town of Santiago Escuintla in western central Mexico, north of coastal Puerto Vallarta, according to Mexican authorities.
