When Timothy Birdwell of Indianapolis confronted with dry weather and a watering ban he came up with an idea with his friend about how to keep his lawn green and care-free.
Birdwell, an employee of Imperial Painting, says that his lawn stays fresh and green no matter how dry the weather is.
What is his secret?
PAINT !!!
Birdwell and his friend came up with the idea of painting the grass.
Birdwell said the paint, which is specially designed for grass, will last two to three months.
“If it rains, the grass just grows,” Birdwell said. “At that point, you can go out there and touch it up if need be. You can have that kind of yard all year round with no water bill from watering your yard.”
Birdwell owns a paint company and happens to have access to a special waterproof turf spray. “We had the idea, let’s paint the grass, so here we are,” Birdwell says. “It definitely stands out, that’s about all I can say of it,” sniffs one of Birdwell’s neighbors.
