The Big Day Out guessing game continues.
Aussie tabloid the Herald Sun says Snoop Lion, Blur and Pearl Jam will be headlining the tour in Australia.
Which means there’s a good chance they’ll be on the bill when BDO comes to Auckland on January 17, right
Wrong. At least according to BDO’s CEO Adam Zammit. He says the reporter responsible for the “scoop”, Nui Te Koha, is way off the mark.
“Nui wouldnt get invited to the opening of a wound so I wouldn’t trust his lonely guess work,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
Nui quoted sources as saying BDO organisers had “very positive talks” with Arcade Fire, Major Lazer and Steve Angello. He also quoted someone who described Snoop as a White Whale, which Zammit found amusing.

Zammit’s tweets don’t exactly rubbish the story, they’re more about giving a kicking to the journalist.
However, music fans will soon find out who’s going to be eating their words. BDO organisers will annouce the line-up for Aussie shows tomorrow at 8pm AEST and the Auckland line-up at 6am on Thursday.
