Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina has shocked her family by revealing plans to marry her foster brother Nick Gordon, whom she grew up with for the last 10 years. According to E!Online, footage from ‘The Houstons: On Our Own’ – a new reality show on the family – shows the 19 year old excitedly saying: “We’re engaged!” the Mirror reported.
Other scenes from the show sees Whitney’s brother Gary commenting on the odd situation, saying: “No one knew that from a godson you would turn into a boyfriend. No one knew that.”
He is presumably referring to the fact that Bobbi’s mum Whitney took Nick in over a decade ago when his dad went to prison and his mum could no longer care for him and then brought him up as her own.
After Whitney died of a drug overdose at the start of the year, Bobbi and Nick grew closer and started dating.
The situation has worried Bobbi’s family so much that it is thought to be one of the reasons gran Cissy has asked a court to delay her grandaughter’s access to Whitney’s inheritance .
They are said to be worried about the company Bobbi and Nick are keeping and think they may be targets of money seekers.
The new series will start on October 24 and follows the whole family trying to cope with life after Whitney’s death.
