Paul Walker’s ‘tearful funeral’

The Fast & Furious star Paul Walker’s loved ones have paid their final respects.

About 50 close friends and family gathered at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles on Saturday (local time) for actor’s funeral, according to Us Weekly.

An eyewitness claims the ceremony had a “sombre” tone to it.

“A few people got up and gave tributes to Paul. It was hard for many people to talk, they were in tears and couldn’t finish what they were saying,” the source detailed.

Walker died at the age of 40 two weeks ago in a fiery car crash that also took the life of his friend and colleague Roger Rodas, 38.

Attendees at the 40-minute service were purportedly flooded with grief as they heard eulogies. The speeches were delivered near a large picture of Walker, which stood on an easel surrounded by white flowers.

“It was a really sad day for so many people, and you could tell they just weren’t ready to say goodbye,” the eyewitness continued. “His parents were there, along with his brothers and some other family members. Everyone was hugging each other tight and didn’t want to let go.”

According to Celebuzz, Walker’s body was cremated and his ashes have been interred at the cemetery.

On November 30 the actor and his friend Roger were travelling together from a charity event in a Porsche Carrera GT. The car veered off the road before slamming into a pole and exploding in flames in Santa Clarita, California.

Walker is survived by his daughter Meadow, 15, his parents Paul and Cheryl, two brothers and one sister.
