US President Barack Obama plays Daniel Day-Lewis playing Obama in a Steven Spielberg spoof follow-up to his film Lincoln.
The video sketch was made for the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, held on Saturday night in Washington (local time).
Spielberg’s Obama opens with the director saying the inspiration for the Lincoln sequel came to him in the middle of the night. Obama was already a lame duck, so why wait, he says.
At the White House Correspondents’ Dinner Obama made several jokes at his own expense.
He said the years were catching up to him and he was not “the strapping young Muslim socialist” he used to be.
