Obama Hits the Campaign Trail In Manhattan, Stops for fundraising dinner at Sarah Jessica Parker’s House and then to a concert at the Plaza Hotel where guests paid $10,000 each to see Mariah Carey sing. He raises a total of 4.5 million dollars in campagn fund that evening. The tax payers picked up the check for the evening.
First the First Family of the United States stopped into Sarah Jessica Parker’s house where she hosted a fundraising dinner for the president’s campaign efforts. Some of the Guests attending the actresses a list gal were: Meryl Streep, Anna Wintour and Aretha Franklin. With 50 people each paying $40,000 to attend, the even raised 2 million dollars.
Then the president and his wife set out to the Plaza Hotel where guests each paid $10,000 to see Mariaj Carey Preform.
Before stopping in at the star’s home for dinner, the president and his wife made a short trip to the World Trade Center making the entire trip to New York official Business. As official business the Obama Campaign is not obligated to pick up the tab, the US tax payers are.
However, in this case some may be saying: Isn’t everything the president does official business and is not keeping the commander and chief of this nation in the best interest of all her citizens?
