The popular ska-rock band from Anaheim, Calif. – made up of Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont – has released the first single from Push and Shove.
The upbeat song, called “Settle Down,” was released to radio Monday. The group’s latest album, set to be released Sept. 25, will be their first in 11 years.
After a hiatus during which each band member had children, Stefani, 42, says hitting the road in 2009 was exactly what No Doubt needed to get back on track.
“Within a month and a half we were playing for 20,000 people at night. It was our first time on stage together in five years,” she recalls. “It was so rewarding to watch your children on the side of the stage singing No Doubt songs that were so personal. I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ I was teary-eyed every night.”
