Mila Kunis’ charm and a young reporter’s apparent naivete have turned a routine movie plug into a viral hit.
BBC correspondent Chris Stark, 25, admits to being terrified when interviewing the actress on a promotional tour for her upcoming film Oz the Great and Powerful.
Kunis flashes her eyes and wrinkles her nose, setting Stark at ease.
”So far you’re doing a great job,” she says.
”Really” he replies.
”No, but we’ll see what happens.”
What happens is a delightfully discursive dialogue, in which Stark asks her to his local pub, suggests she pull pints at the club of his ”not that great” football team Watford, and invites her to his mate Dicko’s wedding, where everyone would ”drop trou”.
The lads including, Sir Dosser, The Convict and Chango The Beast, would love Kunis, he assures her.
“I should get back to the questions,” he says.
“Why This is way more fun for me,” she replies.
When a minder suggests they talk about the movie, Kunis spares him the labour of asking the questions and knocks off all the answers in one blurt at the 4:50 mark.
Then she gets back to yarning with Stark.
”I hope that was alright,” he says as they’re wrapped up.
”Ha ha, I had a great interview,” she replies.
At time of writing, the interview had been viewed nearly half a million times on YouTube.
