After tweeting couple of costumes on Twitter Kim Kardashian decided to dress up as a mermaid for Halloween.
Probably she dressed up for the occasion since Hurricane Sandy was on its way and you never know when you may get wet.
Kim Kardashian transformed into a blonde-haired mermaid from the film Splash for this Halloween, while her rapper beau gave her company dressed as a sailor.
For a Midori costume bash on Saturday, the reality star, 32, summoned one of the most famous mermaids of all time from the 1984 fantastical romance starring Daryl Hannah as the mermaid and Tom Hanks as her mortal suitor.
“Getting ready for my Midori Halloween party tonight!!! Any idea of what my costume party will be???” Kardashian teased her fans on Twitter.
Later revealing her look – a blonde wig, a shell-encrusted top and green fishtail dress, she wrote “Splash.”
It is reported that the wig itself costs $2000
It took Kardashian two months to plan her mermaid costume and two hours to get ready, according to the Washington Post.
Mermaid Kardashian also told the newspaper that when Hurricane Sandy hits the East Coast, Kanye — dressed as a “captain” in a striped shirt and red boat shoes — could “sail” her to safety.
On her Celebuzz blog, Kardashian posted a photo of her of her and Kanye with the caption, “Me and my Captain! “I’m off to the Midori Halloween Party in NYC! So excited! What do you think of my costume? I’ve always been fascinated with mermaids!”
