Lorde will take out at least one of the four Grammy Awards she is nominated for, according to predictions by online music service Spotify.
Lorde is nominated for four Grammys – song of the year and best pop solo performance for her chart-topper Royals; and record of the year and best pop vocal album for her album, Pure Heroine.
Spotify is predicting Lorde will win best pop solo performance for Royals after analysing data on its top song and album streams to predict which nominees will win big at the highly anticipated 56th Grammy Awards on Monday (NZ time).
The race is said to be close, however, with Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors and Katy Perry’s Roar “duking it out for second place”.
In 2013, Spotify accurately projected Gotye’s Somebody That I Used to Know would win the gilded gramophone for record of the year.
It also correctly predicted Mumford & Sons would take home the album of the year prize for Babel.
Lorde is also performing at the Grammys, which will be held in Los Angeles.
