Lindsay Lohan is reportedly “embarrassed” by her former career choices.
The 27-year-old actress-and-model is said to be creating new music in a New York studio with The Kills musician Jamie Hince.
And she supposedly wants these tracks to sound nothing like the songs on her previous albums, 2004 release Speak and 2005’s A Litte More Personal (Raw).
“Lindsay’s really embarrassed by that music, it was really poppy and cheesy. She sees herself as far more credible now,” a source explained to British newspaper The Mirror.
“Jamie is one of her idols – she loves The Kills and sees herself as a bit of a rock chick.”
Rumours Lohan is working on an album began circulating after the star posted teasing photographs of herself working on a secret project in a music studio.
She shared a photo of a signed copy of The Kills record Satellite, and the caption for the image read: “#jamiehince #tomh #robbie #bigpink #studiotime.”
Lohan has had six stints in rehabilitation centres over the years, dating back to 2007, as well as numerous run-ins with the law.
She was most recently released from court-ordered treatment earlier this year and it is now rumoured she will be writing a tell-all book about her life.
According to TMZ, Lindsay will spill the beans on her arrests, drug abuse and family in the alleged tome.
Last week she reportedly met with literary agency Waxman Leavell in New York to discuss the possibility of a deal.
