After yesterday’s breaking news about Kristen Stewart cheating on Rob Pattinson. Both Kristen and director Rupert Sanders have publicly apologized for their extra-marital fling.
Last weeks US Weekly magazine caught 22-year-old Kristen Stewart in a “marathon makeout session” with her married “Snow White and the Huntsman director,” 41-year-old Rupert Sanders.
Young actress has been dating with her ‘Twilight’ co-star 26-year-old Robert Pattinson since the first Twilight movie and Rupert Sanders is married to British model Liberty Ross and has two children.
“She wasn’t having an affair with Rupert,” a source told People. “it was just a fleeting moment that shouldn’t have happened. She never meant to hurt anyone. She’s a good person who just made a bad choice.”
Kristen said “I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.” in a statement to People Magazine
Minutes after Stewart’s apology came out, Sanders also issued a public apology.
“I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family,” Sanders told People Magazine. “My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”
Just before the scandal broke, Ross is said to have tweeted the Marilyn Monroe quote “sometimes bad things fall apart so better things can fall together.” She later deleted her account.
