Kristen Bell is pregnant with her second child it has been confirmed.
The Veronica Mars actress and husband Dax Shepard made the announcement on Monday. The couple already have a 15-month-old daughter, Lincoln Bell Shepard.
“I can confirm that Kristen and Dax are expecting their second child and a sibling for Lincoln,” a spokesperson for the couple told Entertainment Tonight. “The whole family is beyond excited.”
Bell and fellow actor Shepard began dating in late 2007. They became engaged in January 2010 and married in October last year, after section 3 of the Defence of Marriage Act fell. The couple had previously stated that they would not have a wedding of their own until same-sex couples could also get married.
The 33-year-old and her beau are also strong advocates of the #NoKidsPolicy, which takes action against photographers harassing celebrities’ children in order to take photographs.
“By creating a greatly diminished demand for these images, it is my hope that these children will no longer be subjected to being followed, yelled at, taunted and having their privacy invaded on a daily basis,” Bell said to the outlet in February. “Hopefully, these children can return to their routines without having cameras relentlessly pointed at them.”
Bell loves being a mother to Lincoln, but has admitted in the past that it can be hard to juggle so many things at once and stay focused.
“My sister has four kids. Having one kid – I can imagine how hard it is to have more than one,” she said.
“Everything in my head is what’s hard about multi-tasking. Thinking about another task while trying to stay present. When I’m home, I put my phone high up on a shelf and [don’t] check it.”
