Khloe Kardashian has slammed critics mocking her sister Kim’s pregnancy weight gain.
The 28-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is outraged her sibling has been called fat by various celebrity media outlets.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight Khloe said anyone vilifying a pregnant woman should be ashamed of themselves.
“Honestly, I think it’s so disgusting that anybody would criticise someone that’s pregnant,” she seethed.
Khloe said contrary to reports Kim is extremely cognisant of what she eats and is focused on having a healthy pregnancy.
“You should be enjoying your pregnancy, and eating what you want – Kim is healthy and works out and does everything in moderation,” Khloe said.
“I think it’s disgusting anyone would pick on anyone’s weight – especially a pregnant person.”
Kim is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kanye West this northern hemisphere summer.
The 32-year-old reality star has previously acknowledged the weight criticism but said she does her best to ignore it.
“I can’t pay attention to it, especially since I’ve been pregnant,” she told People magazine last week.
“I tune out anything that’s not from my family or friends.”
Kim has no shortage of support from loved ones.
Her half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner also spoke out in her defence last week.
“It pisses me off when people say, ‘You’re so fat,’ to Kim… She’s pregnant people,” 17-year-old Kendall told E! News.
“I’m like, ‘Are you dumb'” her 15-year-old sister Kylie retorted.
“I don’t get it.”
