Jessica Redfield couldn’t cheat death for the second time

Jessica Redfield — who was an aspiring sportscaster  and a blogger from Texas– just over a month ago she had avoided a shooting spree that killed one person on the site and left a handful of other people wounded in a Toronto mall.

On June 5th she posted a blog about the incident and her feelings saying..

“I can’t get this odd feeling out of my chest. This empty, almost sickening feeling won’t go away. … It’s hard for me to wrap my mind around how a weird feeling saved me from being in the middle of a deadly shooting.”

that feeling was the same one that has saved her life in the first place

On her blog, “A Run of Thoughts,” Redfield says she initially wanted to get sushi … but later she has changed her mind and got a “greasy burger” instead at the ;last miute. The time on her receipt read 6:20 PM.

Redfield says that she just had to get out and have some fresh air .. for no reason but a weird feeling inside.

At 6:23 … gunfire rang out inside the food court that resulted with a death of one person and handful of wounded people.

Jessica had written, “Had I had sushi, I would’ve been in the same place where one of the victims was found.”

“I was shown how fragile life was,” Redfield wrote. “I saw the terror on bystanders’ faces. I saw the victims of a senseless crime. I saw lives change. I was reminded that we don’t know when or where our time on Earth will end. When or where we will breathe our last breath. … I say all the time that every moment we have to live our life is a blessing. So often I have found myself taking it for granted.

“Every hug from a family member. Every laugh we share with friends. Even the times of solitude are all blessings. Every second of every day is a gift. After Saturday evening, I know I truly understand how blessed I am for each second I am given.”
Last night, Redfield tweeted about how happy and excited to see the new Batman movie … she even bragged about having to “coerce a guy” into accompanying her to the midnight showing.

Redfield posted her last tweet right before the flick … writing, “MOVIE DOESN’T START FOR 20 MINUTES.”

unfortunately ….it was Redfield’s final tweet because she was one of the 12 people who were shot and killed at the midnight showing of  “Dark Knight Rises” in Colorado.
