James Gandolfini asked his children to keep his Italian estate in the family as long as they can in his will.
The Sopranos actor passed away after suffering a heart attack in Italy last month.
The 51-year-old was with his 13-year-old son Michael at the time and has now been laid to rest in New York.
Details of Gandolfini’s will have now been revealed, with the star splitting his estimated $70 million wealth between Michael, his eight-month-old daughter Liliana, wife Deborah Lin and his two sisters.
Michael is his son with ex-wife Marcy Wudarski, while he has Liliana with his second spouse Deborah.
When Liliana is 25 she and Michael will split the sprawling property James owned in Italy between them.
“It is my hope and desire that they will continue to own said property and keep it in our family for as long as possible,” the actor wrote in the will, according to New York Post.
Much of the actor’s estate has been left to Michael via a trust, which he will inherit when he is 21.
The teenager will also receive all of Gandolfini’s jewellery and his clothes and will be given first refusal on a condo his father owned in New York City.
The star owned other homes as well, which it is thought will be sold.
Any funds not included in Michael’s trust will be split between Liliana, Deborah and Gandolfini’s sisters.
Other people mentioned in the will include Gandolfini’s secretary, who will receive $200,000.
The same amount will go to his personal assistant and close friend Thomas Richardson.
His godson and two other friends have also been left some money, as have his nieces.
A host of people who had worked with Gandolfini turned out for his funeral last week, including his Sopranos co-stars Edie Falco, Steve Buscemi, Tony Sirico, Aida Turturro and Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria also attended and were criticised for using social networking website Twitter during the service. Baldwin lashed out at a journalist over the story and then deleted his account.
He has now insisted he will never use the site again.
“Never. No. I went to Jimmy Gandolfini’s funeral, and when I was there I realised Jimmy Gandolfini didn’t have Twitter,” he told Vanity Fair magazine.
“Jimmy Gandolfini was so beloved as a person, and he was so admired as an actor, and he didn’t give a f**k about social media. I really learned a lesson at the funeral. I said to myself, ‘This is all a waste of time.’ Meaning it’s fun sometimes, but less and less, and less. It’s just another chink in your armour for people to come and kill you. I stopped and said to myself, ‘I’m going to try where I just don’t do this anymore.'”
Hilaria Baldwin is expecting the couple’s first child together and her husband claims his idea of “heaven” is to give up fame to care for the little one.
