Jackman ‘stalker’ fit for trial

Hugh Jackman’s alleged stalker has been found fit for trial.

Katherine Thurston, 46, is charged with stalking the actor after allegedly following him to Manhattan’s Gotham Gym in April.

According to the New York Daily News, the woman demanded to know if he would marry her and then darted inside the facility while Hugh was exercising and ran at him with an electric razor.

She was previously found unfit for trial after spending six months in a New York state psychiatric hospital.

However, a Manhattan Supreme Court judge ruled Wednesday Thurston is capable of understanding court proceedings and able to work with her lawyer, Liz Beal, according to the New York Daily News.

The newspaper reports the case has been adjourned to February for a possible plea.

The defendant’s bail was reportedly set at $50,000 bond.

Jackman was not in court for the hearing.

The New York Post previously reported the woman had allegedly stalked the actor in the past.

A trainer at Gotham gym recalled the incident in April, claiming Thurston was sobbing as she rushed toward the Wolverine star screaming “I love you!”

“She was crying,” said Mike Castle. “I physically removed her from the place, then I called the cops.”

Jackman told journalists as the time: “Here’s a woman who obviously needs help so I just hope she gets the help she needs.”
