Hugh Jackman jokes he loves having sex dressed as Wolverine – aside from the money he spends on ripped sheets.
The actor reprises his role as the superhero in The Wolverine and will also appear as the character in X Men: Days of Future Past.
Wolverine is a mutant with heightened senses and razor sharp knife-like claws which erupt from his knuckles.
Despite the deadly nature of the costume, Jackman likes to spice things up at home by wearing it when he gets intimate with his wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
“The sheets we go through…” he giggled to British newspaper The Sun.
Furness enjoys seeing her husband in his full Wolverine regalia. As well as getting her in the mood in the bedroom, the outfit also has its uses in the kitchen.
“Oh my God, it’s dreadful! Always with the claws. I’m like, ‘Mix the salad. Put them to use, come on!'” she laughed in the joint interview.
Jackman and Furness have been married since 1996 and their raise two children together. The actor is in no doubt that his life would have been entirely different had he never have met his soul mate.
“I would not be a quarter of the man I am without her,” he gushed.
Jackman follows a strict diet and exercise regime when he is preparing to play beefy Wolverine. He has joked about eating “nations of chickens” to help pile on muscle this time around and turned to action hero Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson for advice.
“He put together a Wolverine training program for me,” he recently explained to Chicago Sun-Times.
“The great thing about Dwayne is that every eighth day, he does an entire cheat day. On that day, he eats unbelievable amounts of pizza. The guy can eat three double cheese pizzas at one sitting or three trays of chocolate fudge brownies.”
