Weddings are the theme for the gossip mags this week.
Former Black Cap Adam Parore tied the knot while comedian and Seven Sharp presenter Jesse Mulligan married his longtime love.
There were also rumours of a secret royal engagement between Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas and an apparent reunion between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes which could lead to them walking down the aisle again.
Parore, who Woman’s Day describes as a “cricket legend”, has found his “everlasting love” with foxy 23-year-old lingerie model Miller Rose MacLeod-McGhie.
Parore is 20 years her senior and said he never intended to fall in love with her, but their “unconventional” relationship worked so well it had to be taken to the next level.
Despite Parore having two kids with former partner Sally Ridge, the pair never married and this will be Parore’s first foray into married life.
But the dregs of Parore’s bitter split from Ridge reared their head again, with Ridge requesting the kids she shares with Parore not be photographed for the magazine.
Mulligan married his partner of more than 10 years, Victoria Dawson-Wheeler, in a ceremony which left hardly a dry eye in the house, New Idea reported.
They had been engaged for 3-1/2 years and shared their first dance to Happy by Pharrell Williams.
In more interesting developments, all three of the gossip mags reported a new royal wedding was on the horizon after Prince Harry and Bonas were spotted getting all lovey-dovey at two public outings last week.
New Idea even went as far as saying Harry had already popped the question to Bonas and was just waiting until all the boxes were ticked, including approval from the Queen, before formally announcing it.
Woman’s Weekly quoted palace insiders as saying the couple’s open displays of affection were a result of careful planning and discussions.
Meanwhile, the TomKat could be back for a reunion special.
Holmes has reportedly told Cruise if he wants to get back together he will need to leave the Scientology religion, and Tom is apparently listening.
New Idea quoted a Cruise insider as saying Cruise would consider leaving the church if it meant getting back together and would “marry her in a flash if she’d have him”.
There’s even a bit of news in the gossip mags this week, with Woman’s Day interviewing the wife of Paul Weeks, the Kiwi still missing on Malaysia Airlines flight 370, while Woman’s Weekly talk to his mother.
