An exclusive with Mona Dotcom and Prince George’s first steps dominate the gossip magazines this week.
And in other notable stories, Diane Keaton has come out in support of Woody Allen, while former best friends Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston were reported to be in a race to get down the aisle first.
Kim Dotcom’s wife Mona told the New Zealand Woman’s Day in an exclusive interview that she left the internet tycoon’s Coatesville mansion in the middle of the night in a golf cart so as not to alert security.
Leaving her five children behind was the most difficult part, the 25-year-old said.
“Leaving was a massive decision and I hope the children don’t hate me for it when they grow up,” she said.
Mona said she had now moved back in to a guest house near the mansion and was still on the property. This way the children would be near both her and their father.
“We had tried to make it work but I couldn’t take it anymore,” she said.
“It’s not that Kim is a bad man – he’s not. He’s intelligent and passionate and Kiwis can trust him, but marriage is a different thing … I’ve found a deeper happiness and a freedom I’ve never had before.”
Both Woman’s Weekly and New Idea featured the pitter-patter of royal baby footsteps on their covers’, as Prince George was photographed walking for the first time.
The royal tot took centre stage at the Cirencester Park Polo Club in Gloucestershire, where his dad, Prince William, and uncle, Prince Harry, were playing in a charity polo match.
The steps were “surprisingly steady” according to New Idea and young George showed he could eventually be a prospect for England’s embattled football team, kicking a toy football around the park.
In celebrity news, Keaton, who won an Academy Award for her role in the Allen movie Annie Hall, told Woman’s Day she believed her long-time friend when he said he did not sexually assault his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow.
Last year, Farrow published allegations of how Allen had sexually assaulted her throughout her teenage years and said Allen’s female friends, including Keaton, were defending him through their silence.
Keaton had a one line response to a question about Farrow’s comments: “I have nothing to say about that. Except: I believe my friend [Allen].”
In other celebrity news, New Idea said Aniston was furious at Cox for setting a wedding date before her and accused her of stealing her thunder.

A source said Aniston “lost it” when she discovered Cox had set a date just months after getting engaged, because Jen has been waiting two years to plan her own wedding with fiance Justin Theroux.
A source close to Cox said she accused Aniston of “acting like an immature 15-year-old” and suggested she needed to look hard at her own life.
The pair had been best friends since starring on the TV show friends, and Cox had supported Aniston through her messy break-up with Brad Pitt, but Cox’ patience has reportedly run out.
