Georgia Man has been arrested for the death of his four month old daughter.
In an incident that the accused’ family members are calling an accident, Kieth Furlow, of Georgia fed is 4-month-old daughter a bottle with enough vodka to cause her blood alcohol reading to come up to .1. The child later succumbed to complications of alcohol poisoning while in the hospital. He is also being charged with felony child abuse and / or neglect.
The District Attorney is charging Furlow with Felony murder, which can bring the same sentence as malicious murder. He will be able to charge the man with felony murder because of a law which states any death occurring as a direct result of a felony being committed is felony murder.
An east example of this law is.. Say a suspect was robbing a liquor store at gun point and because of this crime a patron fled the store on foot, didn’t look where she was going and ran in front of a car and was killed. The person committing the robbery would then be eligable for a felony murder charge because his actions cause the patron to flee the store.
