The daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain has hit back at Lana Del Rey after the Born To Die singer said she wished she too was dead.
Frances Bean Cobain took to Twitter to scold Rey saying, “the death of young musicians isn’t something to romanticise”.
“I’ll never know my father because he died young and it becomes a desirable feat because people like you think it’s ‘cool’,” Cobain said.
“Well, it’s f**king not. Embrace life, because you only get one life.”
Cobain never got to know her father, who shot himself in the head in 1994 before her third birthday.
She later deleted the tweets and said: “I’m not attacking anyone. I have no animosity towards Lana, I was just trying to put things in perspective from personal experience.”
