Did Lindsay Destroy Elizabeth Taylor’s ‘Love Nest’ ?

The owner of Elizabeth Taylor’s “love nest” has accused Lindsay Lohan of destroyed her property, racking up 100,000 dollars in damages while the actress was filming the legendary actress’ biopic Liz and Dick.

According to CNN, the lavishly-decorated trailer was specially built so the actress could spend private time with new love Richard Burton while filming ‘Cleopatra’ in 1963.

Fox studios spent more than 75,000 dollars in 1963 (half a million in today’s dollars) to create the “love nest,” as it came to be called, the New York Post reported.

Angel Alger, a Taylor fan, spent her life savings to purchase the 50,000-dollar trailer in June, and two days later she loaned it to Silver Screen Pictures to be used by Lohan for the filming of Liz & Dick.

“I was specifically told that it would come back in pristine condition and in even better condition than it was at that time,” Alger told CNN.

She was shocked at the damage done when it was returned. Devastated, she details cigarette burns on fabric, furniture and on a picture of Taylor.

Dishes and a mirror were broken, and Alger claimed that a valuable antique rocking chair that the legendary actress sat in is missing.

She believes the troubled actress trashed her trailer, saying that a studio employee told her that Lohan and her friends had access to it each night after filming.

“Only a psychotic and rebellious person or people would steal irreplaceable museum belongings and leave it in this vandalized condition,” Alger said.

Alger has no evidence yet to finger Lohan, but says she’s collected cigarette butts from the trailer as possible proof.

However, Lohan’s publicist denied the claim, saying that his client did not destroy the trailer.

“This has nothing to do with Lindsay. You should ask the producers about it,” Honig said.
