After winning the Indianapolis 500, Franchetti couldn’t leave his two pooch pals at home.
The day after winning his third race the couple stopped for a photo shoot. He was decked out in his red and white racing suit and she in a purple sundress as they posed for photos while holding his giant Borg-Warner trophy and their two dogs.
There was also a bitter-sweet note to the evening. Dario’s best friend and lst year’s Indy winner was lost his life in a racing accident last fall. Ashley spent the evening of the race watching it with window, the couple’s good friend Susie.
Dario couldn’t contain his emotions upon winning the award, stating how very much he missed his best friend.
