Superstar Beyonce has added a third show to her New Zealand tour in October.
She will now perform on Thursday, October 17, Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 at Auckland’s Vector Arena.
It will be the American singer’s first solo show here, after touring as part of Destiny’s Child in 2002.
Fans can expect to see a lot of sequined body suits, hot pants and pyro as Beyonce Knowles-Carter busts out her signature dance moves, accompanied by 10 dancers and a female band.
The only male performers will be twin dancers, sticking to her tradition of keeping her entourage mainly female.
The tour has had a successful run across North America and Europe, with the show described by Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper as having “the air of an ancient goddess worship ceremony”.
“Beyonce was compelling to watch, and often blistering in her vocal attack.”
She has enjoyed massive success with albums Dangerously in Love, B’Day, I Am . . . Sasha Fierce and 4.
This world tour is Beyonce’s first since giving birth to her daughter Blue Ivy in January last year with hip-hop artist husband Jay-Z.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am.
