Timothy Poe has a pronounced stutter except when he’s singing. And sing he did at auditions for America’s Got Talent. He told the judges his story of being injured in Iraq and suffering a form of brain damage that lead to his stuttering disorder.
He got a standing ovation from the crowd and a pass to go on from the judges. And why wouldn’t he? He had a beautiful voice and he was a war hero, injured while on duty.
Then a story broke… his ex- wife claimed he was never injured in Iraq. She said he was faking it all. She found friends and former military personal to back up her story.
Poe responds saying that it is a common problem, not being able to find records of soldiers injured in combat and that he’s not lying. However, he has yet to release any proof of his injuries.
Poe goes further to promise finding the required documentation. He also stated once he does, he’s suing his ex-wife.
We’ll just have to wait and see how this story unfolds.
