Lena Dunham has praised Girls co-star Adam Driver who has been lined up to play the villain in the Star Wars: Episode VII.
Driver, 30, will take on one of the lead roles as a Darth Vader-esque character, apparently beating Michael Fassbender and Hugo Weaving to the job.
While casting and details around the production, which will be released December 2015, are being kept tightly under wraps, Dunham tweeted:

The first film of the planned third Star Wars trilogy will be directed, produced and written by J.J. Abrams, based on a story by George Lucas. The plot is believed to pick up where the 1983 movie Return of the Jedi left off.
Filming is due to start in April at England’s Pinewood Studios.
Driver has been playing Dunham’s on-screen love interest, Adam Sackler, in Girls since its launch in 2012. His role earned him an Emmy nomination for outstanding supporting actor last year.
His other credits include the recent Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Dabis and sci-fiction adventure Midnight Special, co-starring Kirsten Dunst and Joel Edgerton.
The production, which comes under the Disney umbrella following the latter’s purchase of Lucasfilm for $4 billion in 2015, is reportedly being pulled together under the utmost secrecy.
Rumours of non-disclosure pacts and employees being reprimanded are circulating, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The initial triology’s three iconic stars, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, have confirmed their appearance in Star Wars: Episode VII.
