This little guy was turned of to animal services after escaping his owners car that was parked in a garage in an Ikea store.

Animal Control was called in after a loose Rhesus Monkey was found perusing the Isles of a Toronto Ikea Store. He was, however, dresses appropriately for the cool weather and chilling AC within the store.

How Did The Little Guy Get Loose?

A monkey got loose at a Toronto Ikea located around Leslie Street and Highway 401 on Sunday, the CBC reported.

Police say the ‘smart monkey’ escaped from a crate inside a parked car at the Ikea parking lot. It stepped out in some snappy attire, a wool coat that is reportedly its favorite.

Perhaps he was just looking for a deal.

Spotted Three Stories Up

The animal was spotted in the store’s upper parking garage at about 2 p.m., the Toronto Star said. Security managed to corner the monkey, which shopper Bronwyn Page described as “agitated,” and animal services collected the little guy.

CTV News’ Tom Podolec reports the owners of the monkey, a seven-month-old Rhesus Macaque, have come forward, and were fined $240 for having a prohibited animal.

The couple will not get the monkey back, and for now, it will remain in the custody of animal services.
